Master Android File Transfer with ADB

Prerequisites:

1. Install ADB:

3. Pull Files from Your Device:

   adb pull <remote-device-path> <local-file-path>

   • <local-file-path>: The destination path on your PC.

   Example:

   adb pull /sdcard/DCIM/photo.jpg /home/user/Pictures/
   

4. Transfer Entire Directory: To push:

   adb push /local/directory/ /sdcard/remote/directory/
   

   To pull:

   adb pull /sdcard/remote/directory/ /local/directory/
   

5. Delete Files on Your Device:

   adb shell rm <remote-device-path>
   

   Example to delete a file:

   adb shell rm /sdcard/Music/song.mp3
   

6. List Directory Contents:

   adb shell ls <remote-device-path>
   

   Example:

   adb shell ls /sdcard/Music/
   

Best Practices:

• Ensure that your device’s battery is adequately charged or connected to a power source during transfers.
• Always safely disconnect your device after completing the transfers by using the appropriate command or disconnection method.
• Regularly back up important data before performing massive transfers to avoid any data loss.
