Split-screen multitasking on Android is a great way to boost productivity by allowing you to use two apps simultaneously. Here’s how you can enable and use split-screen mode:
-
Open Recent Apps:
- Tap the recent apps button (usually a square icon or a gesture swipe up from the bottom of the screen, depending on your device setup).
-
Select an App:
- In the recent apps view, locate the first app you want to use in split-screen mode.
-
Enter Split-Screen Mode:
- Tap and hold the app’s icon until a menu appears.
- Select “Split screen” or the split-screen icon (two rectangles) from the menu.
-
Choose Your Second App:
- Your first app will move to the top or side of the screen (depending on orientation).
- You can now select the second app from the list of recent apps or app drawer that will fill the remaining space.
-
Adjust Split-Screen Size:
- Drag the divider line between the two apps to adjust their size according to your preference.
-
Exit Split-Screen Mode:
- To exit, drag the divider all the way to the edge of the screen for one of the apps, closing the other.
Note: Not all apps support split-screen mode, and the steps may vary slightly depending on your Android device and version.
