Split-screen multitasking on Android is a great feature to enhance your productivity by allowing you to use two apps at the same time. Here's how you can use it:
-
Open Recent Apps: Tap the Recent Apps button, usually located at the bottom of your screen (a square or three vertical lines depending on your device).
-
Select First App:
- Find the first app you want to use in the list of recently opened apps.
- Tap on the app icon at the top of its preview.
- Select “Split screen” from the dropdown menu.
-
Select Second App:
- Your screen will shift, keeping the first app at the top or on one side, depending on the orientation.
- Scroll through the list of recent apps to select the second app.
- If the second app isn’t open, go to your home screen or app drawer to open it.
-
Adjust the Divider:
- You can drag the divider between the two apps to resize them according to your preference.
-
Exit Split-Screen Mode:
- To exit, drag the divider all the way to the top or bottom of the screen (or side on landscape mode), or close one app by swiping it off the screen in the recent apps view.
Keep in mind that not all apps support split-screen mode. If an app doesn't work, you might get a notification saying that it can't be opened in split-screen view.
