Split Screen functionality is a great feature to enhance your productivity by allowing you to view and use two apps at once on your mobile device. Here's how you can use Split Screen on Android and iOS devices:
On Android:
-
Open Recent Apps:
- Tap the Recent Apps button (usually a square icon) or swipe up from the bottom if you’re using gestures.
-
Select An App:
- Find the first app you want to use in Split Screen mode.
-
Activate Split Screen:
- Tap the app's icon at the top of the app's preview and select “Split Screen” or “Open in Split Screen view”.
-
Choose Second App:
- The first app will move to the top of the screen, and you can now select the second app from your Recent Apps or App Drawer to use alongside the first one.
-
Adjust Size:
- Drag the dividing line between the two apps to resize each window.
On iOS (iPad Only):
iPhones don't support Split Screen, but the iPad does:
-
Open an App:
- Start the first app you want to use.
-
Swipe Up to Open Dock:
- Swipe up slightly from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Dock.
-
Select Another App:
- Drag the second app from the Dock to the left or right edge of the screen until it shows up in a narrow, vertical window.
-
Full Split View:
- To make both apps appear side by side, drag the small bar on top of the second app's window down.
-
Adjust Split:
- Adjust the dividing line between apps to resize them as needed.
By using Split Screen, you can multitask efficiently, like browsing the web while taking notes or watching a video while checking emails. If you have specific questions about your device, feel free to ask!
